I’m gonna go with “sidetracked”

So, um. At least it hasn’t been a full year since I’ve posted? Lack of workspace, poor work schedule, and then life going crazy fucking nuts just backburnered this whole thing for me. But. Some of that stuff is going to be resolved in the near future. And I NEED to draw more, and I need to make more music (which hasn’t made its way here, but I’m way more shy about showing that stuff off). So, I will.

Until then, I get off on a technicality? Because, err, this still technically qualifies as sometimes making things, right? (Yeah, I don’t buy it either.)

So yeah, haven’t been posting this past week - packing for a short move is eating up all of my time. Soon, though! Soon I will be done, and I’ll subject you to a week of nonstop Mondo Gecko drawings or something. Til then I’m using my little bits of free time to hack away at notes and character designs for a For Reals You Guys Actual Webcomic With a Big Ol’ Serialized Story and Everything :O

Found a scan of an old drawing and inked it. I’m actually enjoying inking lately and that is definitely a new development, I guess it’s because I’m starting to get a feel for inking to enhance the pencils rather than just inking for the sake of inking? Something like that. Anyways, here is a girl who flies planes in ridiculously impractical clothing, because I probably just finished reading The Invisibles a few years back when I drew this.

Had to show a detail from the last post, because I’m actually pretty proud of Zoom chin-checking Flash in an Andy Capp fight-cloud. Also, totally falling in love with inking in Manga Studio. I wish I was more consistent with actual brush-and-ink but it turns disastrous quickly with my shaky hands, so it’s either pens or digital inking, and Manga Studio is MUCH more kind to my aging Graphire 3 than Photoshop.
